I encountered a bit more diversity this weekend than last. I probably missed a
lot due to the wind. My hearing is not the best under good conditions, and wind
whistling over my intra-auditory amplification devices (i.e. hearing aids) made
birding-by-ear challenging (translation: quite frustrating). Yellow-rumped W's
were still present in large numbers, but not as numerous as last weekend (less
than 100 today, but not much less). At the ruins, as a pair of E. Kingbirds
were trying to catch breakfast, several Yellow-rumps were harassing them;
perhaps trying to engage them in a game of chase. Then again, maybe they were
just being obnoxious. Complete list follows.
