Nine (9) Laughing Gulls appeared at Musick's Campground, South Holston Lake,
Washington Co., VA., today (9/27). They were found just after a frontal
system moved into the area and heavy winds and thundstorms swept the area.
This is our latest fall date for the species. Other good birds for the day
included what is believed to be the area's earliest fall record for the
Horned Grebe 2 and Eared Grebe 3. The party was comprised of Rack Cross
and Wallace Coffey.
