[va-bird] Kiptopeke banding the last two days: Still slow

Howdy all,
We got blown out yesterday so no banding on the 13th. Today was a nice day 
but the birds were just not there. We only managed to band 45 birds today, with 
22 of those coming on the 6:30am net-run. So it made for a slow day. We seem 
to be catching about the same species everyday. We are having a good year for 
AMERICAN ROBINS, BLUE JAYS, TUFTED TITMOUSE, and EASTERN TOWHEES. I am still 
wondering where the sparrows and Hermit Thrushes are. We have had some good 
days, but it just seems as if their numbers are down here. 

Anyway, I am hoping tomorrow is good, because Thursday is looking ugly again. 
Season is winding down here. Our last day banding is the 22nd.
