Howdy all,

Today was another cold start to the day and it never really warmed up. We did
manage to catch 181 birds today. HERMIT THRUSHES were in force today. If you
couldn't find one, you were not trying. We also caught a late NORTHERN PARULA
as well. GRAY CATBIRD numbers are finally on the decline and the sparrow
numbers are on the rise.
It would be nice if the temps rose just a bit too. My fingers were mighty
cold this morning!

Here are the totals for the day 10/29:

Winter Wren                      2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet         4
Golden-crowned Kinglet      5
Northern Parula                  1          a very cold female
Yellow-rumped Warbler      90
Common Yellowthroat         1
Slate-colored Junco            6
Grasshopper Sparrow          1
Song Sparrow                     8
Swamp Sparrow                  8
White-throated Sparrow       13
Gray Catbird                       6
Hermit Thrush                    32          nice push today
Yellow-shafted Flicker          1
American Woodcock            1
Sharp-shinned Hawk            1
Cooper's Hawk                     1

TOTAL ---------------------------  181
