Folks,
Had to spend a some days in Charlottesville last week and was able to
bird a few hours in Ivy Creek Natural Area. This location is written up in
ABA's birding guide to Virginia. This is a wonderful little park with about 6
miles of trails. I was able to see 27 species in about 2 hours. My most fun
moment was watching several Black-throated blue warblers at very close range.
The males were still quite colorful. If you find yourself in C-ville with
nothing to do, check out this park. Cheers Art
