Forty-seven species of birds were observed on Monday, March 31, 2003, at
Huntley Meadows Park from 0700 to 0845. The cold, brisk winds did not deter
the fourteen observers led by Don Mauchline, Gene Keefe, and Mary Floyd from
their self-appointed rounds. Blue-winged Teal, Rusty Blackbirds,
Brown-headed Cowbirds, and American Widgeon were among the new arrivals this
week. The Tundra Swan is still resting in the Central Pond.
