Great catch on the Bittern!
The one thing I would add to the Huntley experience this weekend was two
pairs of Northern Shovelers who spent Sunday afternoon on the water. They
had departed by the time I left (around 4:30).
And yes, the lonely Tundra Swan was still there. Any thoughts as to why it
didn't leave with its gaggle last week?

I've got a second report from Ben Jesup of a flyover American Bittern at
Huntley Meadows Park on Saturday evening. It was seen from the trial on the
back side of the park (not the boardwalk trail)
Woodcock were also seen and heard with at least 3 birds seen.
