Hello, all. I am sorry for the late posting, but I wasn't aware of certain
va-bird rules and my previous post was rejected. This past week, I found a
female hooded merganser in the pond at Sentara Martha Jefferson on Pantops
Mtn. It wasn't flagged on eBird, but probably should've been, as this bird
is definitely breeding by now (remember the ones at King Family Vineyards?).
The same day, while watching a martin house near my home in Lake
Monticello, I found a warbling vireo, the first one I had seen there, and
it provided great up-close looks. I will follow-up this post with photos
ASAP.
