A very pleasant morning, with lots of singing YELLOW-THROATED WARBLERS, and
LAUGHING GULLS have arrived.
For those planning to visit the park, be aware there is a lot of
construction associated with installation of new water lines, and the access to
the
bluffs is closed because of this. It is still possible to hike the back trail.
Species list:
Double-crested Cormorant - 8 in the small lagoon on the right just past the
0.5 mile marker. Five of them were involved in a fishing contest and one
lucky winner swallowed a fair size fish and then sat on the water with a big
bulge in its throat
