The rain and fog of the past day and a half began to break up around midday
with brisk NW winds following. Hawks immediately started flying until around
3pm EST when the winds shifted to WSW and abruptly shut down the flight. At
least half of the accipiters passing the lookout had full crops, having
obviously
spent their down time feeding on songbirds.
