None - if only the Snickers Gap magic eightball had been consulted
yesterday...
Weather:
Despite having a repeat of yesterday's vacant blue skies (they're
beginning to grow on me), winds were favorably out of the ESE at a steady
1-2 to make things interesting. Temp topped off at 73F.
Raptor Observations:
I give up...
We had 4 Broad-wingeds by the close of the 1 o' clock (EST) hour, and
then they started filling the skies like mosquitoes. Yeah, they're fun to
see - but a solid contribution to the season they do not make. I'm ready
for the meat and potatoes...
We had an extremely odd imm. Cooper's Hawk pass through in the 12 o'
clock hour. It looked as if someone had taken a large brush and slathered
black paint on it's throat. C'mon, who did it? Fess up...
No Osprey seen today were packin' a lunch.
Non-raptor Observations:
Lotsa passerines moving today. Most notably were Blue Jays, definitely
beginning to ramp up (260+ tallied). A decent number of warblers in the
early AM (2 Magnolias & 1 Black-throated Blue were the only identified).
Predictions:
Will Todd eat cheese tomorrow?
"MY REPLY IS NO"
*Knowing Todd as I do, I can safely say the eightball is as accurate as
most individuals who seriously fills this section out on their daily
reports.
Todd will eat cheese. Yes, Todd will eat cheese...
