Observers:
Visitors:
Thanks to the additional observers who helped find the many sharp-shinns
that seemed to be all over the sky:
Peter Clark, Gordy Adamski, Betty Warner, Rose Thomas, William Leigh,
Dean, Bonnie Sexton, Bill Funk
Weather:
Brisk SW to WSW winds throughout the day, 20-35km/h; Temp: 15c > 19.5c;
Zero cloud cover in the morning increasing to partly cloudy for the
afternoon helping to find the many, many sharp-shins.
Overall, it was a very pleasant October day as long as counters and
observers remained sheltered from the wind.
Raptor Observations:
Steady flow of sharp-shins throughout the day with a few others thrown in
for good measure.
The record season for Peregrine Falcon continues to grow with three more
today.
Non-raptor Observations:
Monarch Butterfly in good numbers with several hundred at least.
Tree Swallow, hundreds today.
Chimney Swift
Predictions:
Sunny
