3 Green Herons were perched in the trees at the west end of the park, the
usual spot for this species. Two were close together, while one was off to
the side. I presume but do not know that the singleton is the continuing
bird that has been here all winter. Perhaps the other two will stick around
to begin nesting.
This is the earliest of my personal records (which go back to 2005) for the
appearance of Green Herons at this spot (other than overwintering birds).
