Hello all
Yesterday afternoon Pat & I did a little birding on Bells Lane . On the pond
that is behind the barn we found a Greater White - fronted Goose with a lone
Cackling Goose that were mixed in with a couple hundred Canada's . This morning
the GWF Goose is still there . I took a few pics of the bird while it swam in a
small hole in the frozen pond . This hole is close to the shore near the front
end of the pond . Bins are good enough to see this bird . I think it will hang
around for a while . Directions -- I 81 to exit 225 -- go a short distance
south on 262 & turn left as if going to the Days Inn . Stay straight & go to
the end of Bells Lane ( about 2 miles ) . You will see a small group of shurbs
to your left go down this lane & go across cattle guard park in front of barn &
walk slowly to end facing the pond . Once around the corner you will see an old
cattle loading shute . Look thru flock & good luck .
