VA Birders,
I received the following message from Bob Perkins this morning. The
photos while poor are diagnostic. The bird was at his feeder from about
8:30 to 10:00 and he has not seen it since. I expect it will show up
again this afternoon but who knows. The birds prove to me that I know
nothing every day!

After a frustrating week, the green-tailed towhee showed up this
morning. Glen Eller came to the apartment and observed it with my
wife and me. My brother was here and took what are, admittedly, poor
photos. See attached.
I have no way of knowing whether or not the g-t towhee will show up
again, but if someone wants to come tomorrow (Sunday) or Monday
between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., my wife and I will attempt to facilitate
seeing the bird. It's coming to the seed bell that I stuck in the
small tree behind the townhouse.
