Today, we went for a nice autumn hike to Fountainhead Regional Park. After
too many years without seasons (the price one pays for living in Florida and
southern California) I am enjoying the change of seasons. With birding not
being the main objective of today's activities I am pleased with the things
I saw. Hermit Thrushes (3) and Dark-eyed Junco (1) were certainly the
highlight but I did enjoy seeing a late Osprey soaring over. Several
golden-crowned and ruby crowned kinglets added to the variety.
