Sue Heath and I birded a farm in Fauquier County this morning from about
seven AM until nine. We touched the hem of winter with a couple of birds we
saw, and enjoyed the spoils of fall migration with many others. Early on we
found a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and several White-throated Sparrows, and as much
as
I love winter, I wasn't ready for the latter just yet. The fall stuff was
pretty good. We had a Connecticut Warbler, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, and
Philadelphia Vireo, all the while wishing Mr. Abrams was there to see them.
