VA BIRDers,
I visited Riverside Park and the notable was a Common Goldeneye. There were
also Mallards, Buffleheads, Ring-necked Ducks, and Common Mergansers. The
gulls appear to stage here near sunset.
Next was Dyke Marsh with notables being Cackling Goose near the Stone Bridge
and Merlin on a golf course tree near the GW Parkway. The big rafts of
Canvasbacks were gone.
