Things are picking up around here .. finally. Yesterday I spotted the
scarlet tanager during my walk down by my creek; the house wren is setting
up his house in our backyard; the hummers are feeding; and today I came home
from work at 5 pm to see a male rose-breasted grosbeak sitting in our tray
of sunflower seeds. Oh, and the catbirds are back (as of yesterday, too).
