Just now saw a Rose-breasted Grosbeak (female) at our feeder, first one this
season. It's also the first-ever for our home, yard bird number 100.
Looking at the eBird map for the species for this year, I see a lot of reports,
all over northern Virginia and D.C. area, mostly dated from April 27 through
today, with a handful as early as 22 or 23 April. Looks like a real wave
coming through.
