Only 2 folks joined me for this Sunday's version of the Dyke Marsh walk. The
highlight was an adult basic-plumaged Lesser Black-backed Gull sitting on the
pilings along the shoreline. The smaller size and smudgy markings around the
eyes were in sharp contrast to the larger, "cleaner" Great Black-backed sitting
beside it.
However, some of the misses were almost embarrassing, no crows and few
waterfowl, but we did get a small flury of warbler activity near the Dogleg.
