Russ Taylor and I birded Dyke Marsh, Alexandria, Fairfax Co., this morning
and found a Rusty Blackbird near the marina. It was on a log near the side
of the road eating what looked like a crayfish. After an hour and a half at
PW landfill, we stopped by Upper Occoquan Sewage Authority, off Compton
Road, Fairfax Co., and found a couple of Cackling Geese with the hundreds of
Canadas.
