After Adam D's post about three juvie White Ibis in Dinwiddie on 8/8, I thought
I'd better check on the ones in my Buckingham County neighborhood to see if
they'd left. My son, Evan, and I put the canoe in the water and paddled on
back to the little marsh where we'd been seeing them. They were still there
and put on a fine display, wading, flying, circling over us, landing, and
eventually settling in a sycamore tree to roost at dusk.
I also caught three bass and a pickerel.
Happy birding!
