All,
Saturday evening around 7:15, 5 American Oystercatchers were seen flying
over and landing in the Dameron Marsh NAP, lower Northumberland County,
Northern Neck. Also seen were 4 eastern Willets; Royal, Forster's and
Caspian terns; ospreys; an adult bald eagle and lots of laughing gulls
and red-winged blackbirds. On the walk out to the viewing platform
several common yellowthroats, yellow-breasted chats and northern
cardinals were seen and heard.
