There was a disturbing item in yesterdays Wall Street Journal. An FDA
official had an item on the editorial page dealing with misquito threats
stating that the threat to birds and wild life had never been proven and
that he did see why couldn't go back to massive DDT spraying. (He also
said we could have a vaccine for west nile almost at once if he figured
out how to make it profitable enough.) I find this position
frightening-- especially from a key health defender.
