This is a good reminder that the Driftwood Wildlife Association tries to
collect and map reports of Chimney Swift sightings during spring migration. See:

It sounds like they are hitting Virginia a little early this year. In
addition to using e-Bird, sites like DWA are a nice way to track Chimney
Swifts. Send
'em an email. Plus I must say I am intrigued by the Chimney Swift towers for
which DWA offers plans. (Wish I had a larger yard!) Cheers,
