This year's Central Loudoun CBC, sponsored by the Loudoun Wildlife
Conservancy, will take place on Thurs., Dec 28, and welcomes both exp'd &
beginning birders, including kids. You can bird the entire day or just a
part.
We field about 20 teams in the count circle which covers Loudoun County from
the western edge of Ashburn to just east of Round Hill and runs from
Waterford in the north to a little north of Aldie in the south. Some of it
is suburban while other parts remain rural. In addition to visiting several
natural areas we are fortunate to get permission to also visit several large
estates. Some of the sectors require a lot of walking while others are done
primarily by car. We also welcome feeder watchers.
We hope to hold a Tally Rally at the end of the day. We're still finalizing
our plans for the Tally Rally and if you'd like to assist with the tally
please let me know.
