A number of people have asked about the DVD version of new CVWO color photo
CD on "Rarities" and thanks to CVWO Secretary and video expert, Robert
Klages, we now have the DVD version. We are excited about this new educational
item, which is a follow-up to the 10th Anniversary CD released last year.
The Rarities CD/DVD is full of close-ups (more than 250 images), including a
glaring Northern Goshawk, a Chuck-will's widow's huge wide open mouth, the
rounded primary tips of a Black-chinned Hummingbird, portraits of such birds
as Black-tailed Gull, Heermann's Gull, Rock Wren, Olive-sided Flycatcher (and
a Red Bat's fangs!) and about 90 other rare species all from around the mouth
of Chesapeake Bay.
Thanks again to the 28 photographers who contributed their fine images. Many
were taken by our Songbird Bander, Jethro Runco.
