I just wanted to publicly thank Coastal Virginia Wildlife Observatory
Songbird Bander Jethro Runco for a great season and for his many posts to the
List
Serve to let people know how migration was progressing at First Landing State
Park.. He put up with some of the most unfriendly Virginia spring weather in
recent memory and still managed to capture and examine a lot of birds. The
weather never dampened his enthusiasm. More details on his findings will be
available before long.
He's off to the next banding assignment in Washington state. Happy travels!
He'll be back at Kiptopeke in mid-August to open the songbird station there.
