I went to Burke Lake this afternoon hoping to see the Wood Ducks that
have been reported there.
I did find a pair of Wood Ducks and managed to get a few photos. Here
is a link to one of them.

I also saw about 50 Lesser Scaup, a few Canada Geese, a couple dozen
American Coots. About a dozen Mallards. A Pied-billed Grebe.
My wife and I walked my neighborhood park (Folly Lick Stream) Sunday
afternoon hoping that the Yellow-crowned Night Herons would have
appeared, but they had not. But we did see a nice collection of birds
including a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Brown Creeper and a Cooper's
Hawk. The Cooper's Hawk was in the area where I have seen nesting
Cooper's for the last two years.

The herons usually arrive in Folly Lick the last week of March or first
week of April, so I'll be checking every few days.
