Good morning, birders,
There were only three of us on yesterday's regular bird walk (third Sat.) at
the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship, which has recently been
pegged for a future state park. Most other birders were likely on the other
all-day event, birding hotspots of Loudoun County. We enjoyed the hike through
the half-foot of powdery snow with temps in the teens, and altho there were
very few birds around (a mere 18 species!), we enjoyed looks at some of the
less-commonly encountered ones.
