Hello all
After work this afternoon I decided to check out Smith's Pond in the Swoope
area to see what was there . I had a few Shorebirds & the best bird was an
adult Bald Eagle . Below is a list of migrants seem this afternoon . Some are
low numbers but we have no fall peak counts for these species .
Bald Eagle -- 1 -- early fall date
Wood Duck -- 1
Black - crowned Night Heron -- 1 adult
Killdeer --- 18+
Spotted -- 3 Fall Peak Count
Solitary -- 7 fall Peak Count
Lesser Yellowlegs -- 1
Least -- 2 fall peak count
Not a bad start for the first of August .
