From about 3:00-4:00 PM yesterday I observed at least 35 Whimbrels at Willis
Wharf. The tide was dead low. There were likely more as the birds were darting
in and out of the gullies. Observed from public landing observation deck. They
were wandering in between Marbled Godwits and Willets so size comparison was
easy. Long downward curved bill, shorter than LBC. Scoped pics not great,
although one has 3-4 in it and you can make out the bill.
