Both ad. American Avocets were still present this afternoon at the Washington
Avenue lakebed, along with all other species previously reported (an imm.
Little Blue Heron is new for the site), mostly in reduced numbers -- heavy
rains all day have probably kept some birds down. A Viceroy at the site
today was the only butterfly seen today, other than an Eastern Tiger
Swallowtail. I've seen only 3 other Viceroys in town in five years.
