Sherman Suter and I walked into Huntley Meadows this evening hoping to hear a
rail. No rails, but we did have an Am. Bittern pop up on the east side of the
boardwalk. Set back down and disappeared. Also had FOS Green Heron near the
observation tower.
Water level in the main pond may not be conducive to rail activity this year.
Plan is to keep it on the high side.
