A belated message from YuLee Larner regarding and event from Saturday, April 28.

It is with deep sadness that I must tell you that Pat Larner, Allen's wife,
passed away this afternoon at a hospital in Louisville, KY. They were on their
way home from a western vacation.
Allen asked me to send this message out to our friends and to suggest that in
lieu of flowers, friends who care to, are asked to contribute to the Augusta
Bird Club, with all contributions designated for the Nature Camp Restoration
Fund. I'm assuming that Allen and Pat's children will arrive in Staunton
tomorrow.
While this list-serve is primarily to send messages of bird sightings, Allen is
such a contributor to our records, and loyal supporter of conservation in our
area, he and I felt it would be appropriate for me to send this personal
message.
Needless to say, but Allen asked me to tell you that the May 3 field trip is
canceled.
Please keep Allen and Pat's children in your thoughts and prayers.

Might I add that Pat, although frequently ill and not always able to
participate in Alan's birding activities, she was a dedicated and sincere
supporter of Alan's enthusiasm for birding and avian records. They were quite
a team. We will miss Pat. She was a kind, friendly and brave person. /John
