On my way back from Roanoke today I stopped by the pond on New London Rd
opposite the New London Golf Course. New London Road intersects with Rt. 460
just west of Lynchburg.
In addition to a large flock of Canada geese, I sighted gadwall,
ring-necked ducks, pied-billed grebes and mallards. I did not have my scope
with me so I was not able to do a thorough search among all the geese or all
areas of the pond.
