Eleven birders joined leader Bill Williams this morning, June 23, at
New Quarter Park near Williamsburg for the regular 4th Saturday Bird
Walk sponsored by the Williamsburg Bird Club & New Quarter Park.
The group tallied 53 species over about 4 hours from about 6:30 to
10:30. As Bill said: "The Northern Bobwhite was a stunning surprise.
It sang twice loud and clear near the open area where we put the
Purple Martin houses. Everyone heard it. WOW! I would love to
think the bird(s) will stay."
