Bill Parkin and I stayed in our neighborhood here at Lake Frederick this
morning. Among our FOS birds were 15 migrating Broad-winged Hawks. Most were in
groups of 3 or less, but we had one small kettle of 5. Our other 2 FOS birds
were both Oriole species. Gray Catbirds showed up here yesterday and we had
Wood Thrush for the first time this year yesterday at nearby Blandy Farm in
Clarke County. Our only Warblers were Palm, Prairie (breeds here) and
Yellow-rumped.
