TO STOP A STATE BUDGET CUT TO STATEWIDE’S PATIENT'S RIGHTS HELPLINE
The NYS Assembly and NYS Senate have released their budget proposals and
negotiations will soon begin. Each House included a pot of money to restore
cuts in the NYS Office for Aging budget but did not specifically identify that
StateWide's Patient's Rights Helpline would be funded at the same level as last
year. So, it's time to make calls again! Remind your State Assemblymember and
State Senator that you support restoring $200,000 to our helpline when the
final budget is complete.

* Call your Assembly members at 518-455-4100
* Message: My Name is ______ and I am a constituent who supports funding
for NY StateWide Senior Action Council’s Patient's Rights Helpline. It educates
and empowers seniors to uphold our health care consumer rights. Funding for
this service is drastically cut under the Aging budget. Please restore funding
with a $200,000 Legislative appropriation to keep this vital service in place.

receive free tax assistance from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance to
