Broken home.And Heart Part 1

     As Mortok left the Bridge he knew what he was about to do but he also knew 
he had to. He could see that his and Kai's relationship was not working and he 
decided to be the one to take the initiative and also to spare Kailani from the 
pain it would cause to have a confrontation. He stood in the turbo lift and 
waited to give the command to go to his quarters for what seemed to be 
hours..But soon enough he looked up and said. "Officers quarters." 

 

     As the lift sped on its way to its intended location he began tapping on a 
padd a note that he would leave for Kai to read when she arrived home later. 

 

 

It reads........

 

     To Kailani Kai,

 

Hello Kai. I am writing this to tell you I see where our relationship is going 
and I decided to leave and spare you the pain. Please forgive me for anything I 
have done to make this happen but for a while I knew it was coming and I didn't 
want to have to say goodbye.

                                                             Mortok

 

 

 

     When the lift finally stopped he stepped out and walked the short way to 
there quarters that seemed a mile. When he arrived he looked around and 
remembered all the good times they had and if he could have cried he would 
have. In times like these he thought he was strong but in this on moment he 
found that though he didn't show it on the out side on the inside he was being 
ripped apart and he hated that feeling. He decided that wallowing in his one 
pity was getting him no were he grabbed his bag and started to pack his stuff. 

 

     When he was almost finished he came across some of the things that she 
gave him and he knew that leaving was harder then he thought it would be. In 
his heart he knew he loved here and he wished she felt the same. He finally got 
finished packing and he put his stuff at the door and took one last look around 
and reached behind his back and took out his Ritual knife he always carried and 
he set it on the bed to were she would see it for sure and place the note 
beside it and walked out of the room and headed for his new room. With his 
heart breaking the whole way. He also guided the crew that was helping him move 
to the room.

 

     When they entered he felt so alone and scared. So he started to unpack and 
get settled in. When he was half way finished he settled down to sleep and 
could not help but dreaming of her..So in himself part of him died that 
day...Mortok was once again a Klingon and he knew it.
