Looked like you guys had an excellent sim.  I wish I would have been there.  Welcome to Jon, to the academy sim.

ON

The data from the probes, launched, continued to flow in.  It was staggering, the amount of damage done to Rigel IV.  Malachi relayed damage information to the shuttles from both the Sutherland and the Eagle.  Malachi wished he was on the planet with the other cadets, but he also did not mind staying aboard the ship as it meant he was, once again, working with his father's ship and the crew he spent three years with before he had qualified for the academy.
Malachi heard the dean's request for supplies to be beamed down.  He couldn't help but shake his head as he saw Tebok literally scare the cadet into action.  He couldn't help but feel that sort of command tactics. bred more mistakes from the crew, as they would tend to react too quickly and hurry through an assignment, possibly making more errors.  Mal shrugged and went back to his console.  He guessed there was still a lot to learn.
As he watched the progress, of the shuttles, and the teams on the ground, his board suddenly lit up as the sensors detected the ground tremor forming below what used to be Dicen City.
"Lieutenant!" Malachi called out to Tebok.  "The away team is about to.... correct that..... is now experiencing ground tremors.  The energy beams from the Borg attack have ignited ground flows through a fault crack where the city once sat."

Cadet Thaddeus Over had beamed down with the team into the horror which once was Dicen.  He felt a bit overwhelmed by what he saw, and more so when the people started to crowd them.  He figured the best thing to do was stop thinking and just listen to instructions.  Do whatever was needed to be done to get the job completeed.
He felt a momentary panic when he had heard the woman scream.  He, too saw her bent over her husband's prone form.  He was glad he did not have to do any fast thinking, but was impressed as he watched Okuyan shock the man back to life.  Then the panic set in again when the ground started shaking.  He almost wished he was back on the ship with Lt. Teabag (of course he wouldn't make the mistake of calling him that again, at least not intentionally) glowering over his shoulder, scaring the bejeezus out of him.
