<USS Banshee> Setting up

"Setting up."
Lt. Sara Crusher
"Computer locate personal files.. Crusher, Sara." The holodeck’s control
panel lit up as the computer beeped and buzzed. Sara stood by the panel
tapping her foot impatiently She was already short on time because she had
decided to stop at her quarters to change before meeting Cyanah on the
holodeck. "Files located." Finally, she thought to herself. "Access file
Crusher Aspen 1 and recreate. Include replicator access. " She moved to the
door and waited for the computer’s confirmation. "Program complete. Enter
when ready." The doors parted and Sara stepped into the foyer of her Aunt’s
cabin. She stepped off the single step and walked into the middle of the
large room. It was perfect. There was a large stone fire place with family
pictures on the mantel. A large over stuffed couch sat near the fire place
with large fluffy pillows and a warm blanket thrown over the back.
Sara walked over to the fire place and picked up a sliver picture frame from
the mantel. She smiled as she looked down at her family. The photograph it
held was taken the day she graduated medical school. She stood in between her
mother and aunt as her father took the picture. She put that one back and
picked up a picture of her whole family. Her parents, grandparents, her Aunt,
and brother with his new wife. As Sara replaced the picture of her brother’s
wedding, she wondered what her family would think of Cyanah. Would they lover
her as much as she did, or least come close to it? Then she remember why she
was there in the first place.
"Computer activate the fire place." Sara watched as the fire place became
alive with brilliant red and orange flames. She pushed the coffee table back
and laid out a blanket and pillows as she continued to talk to the computer.
"Computer replicate a bottle of champagne, make the ice bucket sliver." Sara
smiled as a sliver ice bucket with a bottle in it appeared on the mahogany
table that rested along the back of the couch. "Computer add to that two
crystal champagne flutes. Next replicate a tray of chocolate covered
strawberries surrounding a bowl of whipped cream. Again the tray and bowl
should be sliver." She picked up the tray of berries and placed them on the
far end of the hearth so that the heat from the fire wouldn’t melt anything.
She stood and looked around the room as her mind reached for the final
details. "Finally for this room, place candles in an even spacing around the
room." The candles appeared and Sara couldn’t help but grin as she went
around the room lighting them. Perfect.
Once the candles were in place Sara walked over to the large window that
covered the length of the side wall. A small black piano sat in one corner
over looking the view of the snow covered mountains and in the other was the
sliding door that allowed access to the patio. In the back corner of the
patio was a large hot tub. Sara quickly made her preparations there and then
came back into the house. She sat at the piano and started to pick at the
keys. Sara stopped after a few minutes and laughed. It had been a while since
she had played on that old piano and unless her aunt had had someone in to
tune the real one, it never sounded that good.
"One last detail. Computer once I am join by Lt. Kaelyre activate the privacy
lock." She smiled as she poured out two glasses of champagne and then walked
over to the window. She looked up at the snow covered everything and sighed.
The only thing left to do was wait for Cyanah. Then as if on cue, Sara heard
the holodeck doors open and close. She turned and smiled at the woman who
stood on the step by the white wooden door that had replaced the cool gray
ones that were normally there. She didn’t say a word. She simply walked over
to Cyanah and ran her hand though her hair and then kissed her deeply.
