Hi David,

Many thanks for the info. I wish that US BCA may have some tournaments with Asean chess groups where we can go up within the journey to play games face to face. I just do have played local games but still its not enough as there's not much of chess opportunities here. Most of the Asian blind chess folks do not know chess notations but they can play good chess.

Hi, Louis.

Jessica is a member of the United States Chess Federation. She doesn't
play in many of our exclusively USBCA tournaments. But, since the OTB
tournament is open to all visually impaired or blind members of the
USCF, she comes and conquers well. FYI, in case folks wonder, yes, the
OTB tournament is sponsored, in part, by the USBCA along with its
being a subgroup in the United States Chess Federation. So, yes, the
OTB is counted as a USBCA event.

Hi David,

Glad to hear of the chess tournament being organised. Would like
to know whether Jesica is from US BCA team?

Hi, everyone.

On Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, chess players will gather.
Where?
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The U.S.  Championship for Blind
Players,
2019, is just about here.

Will Jessica Lauser repeat as champion?
Or will Al Pietrolungo win a long-sought first place?
Or, will Jim Thoune take home the honors?

They and several others of us will be ready to push those pawns
and
pieces at 10:00 AM, Saturday, in the first of four rounds of
competitive chess.  Let's get ready to rumble, folks!
Round by round coverage will take place on list.

All the best in chess,
David
