Hi David, it's interesting to follow your updates of the over the board tournament, it sounds like Jessica Lauser will still hold the U.S. championship crown this year.
Good luck to your games!

Subject: [usbca_chess] third round results from OTB, and the race for first place is very much up for grabs

Everyone,
The race is very close. The fourth round will decide who will be the
U.S. champion of blind players.
Here are the third round results.
Jessic Lauser beat Jim Thoune
on time, as Jim's flag fell.
Al Pietrolungo and Mike Davis drew their game.
Ginny Alverson beat Nathaniel Figueroa.
Evan Reese won his game against Steve Brumigen.
And David Rosenkoetter defeated Jim Homme.

So, with the last round starting at 4:00 PM, here are the standings.
Jessica Lauser: 2.5 points
Mike Davis, Al Pietrolungo, Jim Thoune and Evan Reese 2.0
Ginny Alverson and David Rosenkoetter 1.5
Steve Brumigen and Nathaniel Figueroa 1.0
Jim Homme 0.5

Here's to a  great fourth round. Stay tuned and I'll be back in a bit
with the results.

Of note, games from the tournament will be posted to the tournament
director's website as well as on www.americanblindchess.com asap.

All the best in chess,
David
