Hi All,
I'm totally swamped; I haven't even had time to do anything toward
downloading and trying out TeamTalk. And I've got obligations tomorrow
morning, so I won't be available for Chess Gather. Salon 6 is working-last
time I checked-so I guess anybody who wants to get together anyway
certainly
can, assuming Salon 6 is available.
Now, Hadley has also gone to a full-duplex platform. The sound quality is
excellent, but there are some tweaks that need to happen. Whether the same
is true for TeamTalk, I still don't know, because I haven't been able to get
on. I'll keep you posted. My current plan is to hold Chess Gather next
Friday, April 7, in Salon__6.
The tournament was interesting. There are some quite ferocious youngsters
out there, making mincemeat out of oldsters like me. I scored a win and
two
draws out of five rounds, and everybody I played was rated below me. I'll
post my games when I have a chance to go over them and include some of my
own comments, but I'll be interested in hearing what others have to say
about them.
