I don’t know what your level of vision is, but if you use the accessible mode
on Lichess to enter moves algebraically that’s how you note things.
As follows:
1. D4, D5
2. C4, dxc4
That’s the Queen’s Gambot accepted opening notated but yeah basically it works
like that.

Yes, please, send a game or two per week. The more of your and Tyson's
analysis on games, the better my studies are. As for your being cocky in
early games, that's no big deal to me. I like reading analysis with
personality interjected.
Note to those who wonder as to posting losses: Most analysis I've seen online
or in various publications is done by the winner or a third party.

Games go back all the way to 2004. As stated, I've tidied things up,
so I don't sound as young and as cocky as when I first penned them!
Also, Tyson, sitting in your own half of the board, can, sometimes, be
helpful. I've played many a hedgehog setup and my opponent has
overstretched and I've snatched material and won. But in general terms
though, yes, I agree, you need to play across the board, including
into your opponent's half.
And the final point. I am now actually playing a few games on LiChess
and will play my first online league game this Thursday. Played my
first "Individuals tournament" game last week and that was actually
very interesting. Potentially worth for write up.

Thanks for this. Welcome to the group. Interesting user name!
Both Chris Ross and I occasionally contribute whole annotated games to
this group. They are usually contemporary but as neither of us play
games via the internet, preferring actual over the board (OTB), then
in the absence of OTB games we haven't put up much material recently.
Right now I'm working on a story (have been for many years but finally
knuckled down and produced over
500 pages since the autumn) while Chris is hard pressed with remote working.
So fresh material from either of us is unlikely to happen in the near
future, but if the right thread comes along then there could be a lot
of material already written and/or observations from both of us. So
watch this space.
I try to be objective about other peoples games and I do annotate privately.
For any member of the USBCA I would probably not charge a fee but I do
heartily encourage members to attempt to annotate their own games first.
That gives an idea of how they are thinking.
I note that you said you played the Ruy Lopez aka The Spanish Opening.
I recommend this to anyone but specifically I commend the Exchange
Variation after 3...a7-a6 4 Bb5xc6. This avoids a number of other
lines by Black and has a clear strategical goal - play d2-d4 to secure
a viable 4-3 Pawn majority on the Kingside then swap off all the
pieces to go into a won King and Pawn ending.
Just one other general piece of advice to all players. If your game
strategy is to curl up in a ball in your half of the board and not
advance into the other half then you're not going to win any games. At
some point in a game you'll need to play in the other half of the
board. The reason I say this is because I have had many players over
the years - no names, no pack drill and I don't limit this remark to
just VH players - show me games where they have shown no ambition at all and
then wondered why they lost!
Anyway, enjoy your time with the association and play as many humans
as you can. Computers and engines are okay up to a point but remember:
if you're consistently beating the engine then stop. You can't be doing it
any good!
