Hi Janelle Losoff,
Thank you for your work and the work of your committee.
It is excellent!
I am a founding member of the USBCA.
1. Yes, a closer and mutually beneficial relationship between the USBCA and US
Chess is an excellent idea.
2. My membership in US Chess has lapsed.
Would it be possible for you to send me a link so that I could read by my
screen reader the March issue of Chess Life?
3. Are current issues of Chess Life online?
If so, many blind players, including me, would be extremely interested in
reading them.
Sincerely,
James Slagle

Dear BCA members,
Thank you. On behalf of the Accessibility and Special Circumstances Committee
of US Chess, thank you for your help and support. I've learned a lot from you
and have yet more to learn. Together we can make chess more accessible and
inclusive for everyone in both organizations.
If you are a US Chess member, you should have received a link to the online
version of the special Accessibility Issue of Chess Life.
If you are NOT a US Chess member and can't read the special Accessibility
edition of Chess Life, let me know. I might be able to get permission to give
you a copy.
Yours in Chess,Janelle Losoff, ChairmanUS Chess Accessibility and Special
Circumstances Committee

Dear ASCC members,
After 4 years of working quietly on research, policy and accessibilty
guidelines, our committee and our work is front page news. The whole March
issue of Chess Life is dedicated to our work! Please check your email for a
link from US Chess so you can read it. Be ready to smile and take a bow.
If anyone from the press asks you for an interview about our committee, our
work or the Guidelines, please refer those journalists to me.
If you're asked about your own personal stories with disabilties and
accessibilty advocacy work, go ahead and take the interview. Please report
back to me the name of the journalist and the publication where the story is
to appear. This information is needed by Dan Lucas of US Chess
Publications, and by Carol Meyer, our Executive Director.
Thanks again for your support for accessibilty and inclusion in chess. What
we do together matters.
Best,
Janelle
