Question 1. It is possible to mate with King and two Pawns versus bare King but
usually the weaker side allows a promotion. Hence this is rare.
Question 5. The answer is correct. It is true. A possible mating position is
Black King on h8, White Knight on e7 and f7 and the White King on g6 or h6.
However, the mate can not be forced. Masters usually agree a draw upon entering
that ending. See Kotov-Najdorf from the Zurich Candidates tournament 1953.
King and two Knights versus King and Pawn is a win in certain positions but
really is very tricky. Having a Pawn alleviates stalemate defences in certain
positions. At an event in the 1920s a player with the two Knights went into a
45 minute trance over the board before giving up and saying. "No thanks,I'll
take the draw."!
