With the Holidays, upcoming travel, appointments, etc, I have decided to put
the Chess Gather on hold until after the first of the year. According to my
careful calculations, the first Friday following New Year's Day is 5
January. At this moment, I have no appointments, out-of-town travel,
out-of-town guests arriving, or any other cataclysmic events-that I know
of-happening at that time. I'll plan to resume Chess Gather at 15:00 UTC,
that's 10 AM EST, and probably still dark for you, JDog? Is it light out in
Arizona at 8 AM this time of year? (Smile)
Meanwhile, I'd appreciate some feedback from anyone who might be interested
in attending. The folks at out-of-sight have been askng if I would bring the
Gather back to Chess Castle. It requires using TeamTalk. If I go that
direction, instead of continuing to take advantage of Olivier's very
generous offer of the use of salon__6, would it make a difference one way or
the other? Yes, you would prefer out-of-sight; Yes you would prefer
salon__6; No, it doesn't matter which one we use.
I'd love to hear from you, and I'd love to have you with us when Chess
Gather resumes on 5 January.
